Aspiring to be a generation of young and radical individuals, we believe that life should be pleasurable, yet grounded in eternal and biblical principles which can benefit us. We strive to excel in every aspect of our lives, whether it is in our studies, CCA or family, in wanting to grasp the best out of life. We long to unleash the great potential in all of us to be the history makers we are all meant to be.
We are about encountering the reality and goodness of God in our ever-changing world; forging friendships that inspire, encourage and spur us on; finding the Truth and spreading the good news to the people around us; living life not for ourselves but for a Greater Cause.
United in Vision. Burning with Passion. For His Kingdom.

WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY.
we had our grads' stayover on thurs night. wanted to catch a movie initially before going to steph's aunt's vacant house, but she had alr watched both casino royale and happy feet, and step up wasn't being screened anymore, so we decided not to waste our money on seemingly uninteresting movies. we squandered it all on food though (elise's anointing).
so anyway, we spent our time at ps. qixin couldn't join us cos she was sick. so first we ate tako pachi, had dinner at long john's, then we took neoprints.. which i think we (except steph) are idiots to. lol

not bad la we managed to squeeze everyone in. and actually there were other really cute ones, but we could only select four to be printed :(
so anyway, after that we had dao huey for supper..

feeling full and satisfied :) tecksin and peiyi had left alr. fenghui had to go home after this.
so with the remaining six of us, we made our way to our destination. found a rotten apple in the fridge that engulfed the entire kitchen with its overbearing stench. brave brave joanne disposed of it and rescued us from suffocation. then we took turns to bathe, and soon after began on our 500piece jigsaw puzzle. it was a bittersweet experience i guess. bitter cos we had to stay up the entire night/morning to complete it (if you think that's lousy, you should see the jigsaw for yourself. you'll understand why). and sweet cos we had a great time sharing life while doing it together. tong2 gan1 gong4 ku3!
they say a picture paints a thousand words, so here goes..
(caution: sturdy faith required, we don't wanna stumble you)

bums. the jigsaw, and the border we started off with. joanne and i were in charge of the sky. the rest, the rest.

we were discouraged alr.

and depressed, just looking at all the pieces.

cos we could hardly tell them apart.

i doubt you can either, so don't laugh.

steph did the heads :) before she went off to dreamland, abandoning the rest of us in our misery.

see, proof.
and the process of fixing the jigsaw..

behind the smiles were loose screws and extreme tiredness. not to forget awful back and neckaches.

in case you're wondering, esther was the one who took pictures of all these bottoms. she was obsessed with, fascinated and awed by them =p hahaha.

told you it drove us mad.

she was trying to tell the different shades of blue apart. which was impossible really.

by this time it was about 6am alr.

the perseverant five. we refused to give up cos we didn't want all our efforts to go to naught.

distressed. destressing.

plain tired.

resting for a minute. and looking like some ah ma, especially with a cardigan on. haha.

back at work with only two of us left. weiting and lijin went off to dreamland too, after completing the bottom of the jigsaw. and esther secretly took this picture.

finally, the completed jigsaw puzzle! three pieces were missing. and this was at about 7am.

we deserved a rest. and don't be stumbled again.. haha.

totally shagged people, with victory signs.
and finally..

breakfast which esther and joanne prepared. it gave me a really bad stomachache and diarrhoea.
so that was our stayover. we were so tired and frustrated we really went mad, ending up talking to ourselves or even to the puzzle pieces. but all in all, we enjoyed one another's company :)
and today we celebrated our dear leader elise's birthday. everyone wore brown cos its her favourite colour. a pity we didn't take pictures of the celebration, it was really cute..
but anyway, blessed birthday elise! thanks for being really patient and loving, we appreciate you very much :)
and as for the happenings in cc, i'll update tomorrow or something maybe. too tired now. goodnight!

Games Review
Citadel
This is probably one of the most interesting and enjoyable game of the lot. Ranging from 2 to 8 players, it is equally fun no matter how many people are in the game. Personally I prefer more players, but a game of 2 players is extremely fun and challenging as well. The aim of the game is to build 8 districts in your city. Once 8 districts have been completed, the game ends and points are counted.
At the beginning of each round, everyone secretly chooses a character in a clockwise manner. This character has special abilities that can be activated during your turn. Once everyone has selected a card, the round starts from the assassin and the race to build 8 districts begins.
This is a game of strategy and persuasion. Every round is different as you get to choose another character. Collect gold as a merchant, or get more cards as an architect, or even switch hands as a magician, but dodge the thief and the assassin or else your turn will be futile. There is just so many ways of playing this game and the element of mystery of who is who just makes the game even more exciting. A problem is that first timers usually take a long time to choose the character they want. Solution: Have the top 3 characters you want in your head, so when the cards come to you, you can choose immediately without cracking your head.
I highly recommend this game at caregroup level and from what I have seen, both guys and girls love this game.
